YOUTH
Programs & Clinics

Three Saturdays (10am - Noon) of beginner ski lessons for children ages 4-6 (must be of age on the date of first lesson). All 3 lessons will be taught in the Pole’r Express conveyor lift learning area.
Kinder Ski is for children new to skiing or new to the mountain environment. Emphasis will be on FUN, creating a positive first-time experience, introducing group-appropriate ski skills, and making friends. Students will spend some time in the Yurt warming up and playing games. Each child should come with a hearty snack and plenty of water. Arrive 30 minutes early to fit equipment.

You are committing to a three-lesson session.
Three 2-hour sessions at ABMRA - 1 day per week x 3 weeks;
3 Individuals per instructor;
Parents need to leave student with a hearty snack and drink;
Entirely on Pole’r Express Conveyor Lift;
Expectation is that some of the time will be spent playing, which may be in the Yurt;
Emphasis on FUN intro to snow, ski equipment, the Pole’r Express Conveyor Lift;
Ski skills will be introduced as appropriate to the entire group;

4 Alpine Ski Lessons, Rental package and Season Pass
Offer your children a life sport: Skiing or Snowboarding! A series of lessons is the perfect way to develop basic skills in a supportive group environment. With a season pass included, it is a steal of a deal. Get together some friends or come and make new snow buddies for our popular First Chair program!

Have your or your children already mastered the Park Lift? Have you completed First Chair or the Adult Learn to Ski Program but enjoy the benefit of regular lessons and mountain exploration? This is the program for you! We will take you where you are and focus on skills that you and the group wish to enhance! From advancing to a new lift to preparing to join the Little Bear Ski Club race team, we will work with you to make snow riding an ALL-Mountain sport!

This popular race club derives its name from the original one in the 1970s! With our fun-loving coaches and racers, they zip all over the mountain, skiing powder and bumps and practicing in the gates. Typically, the coaches may travel to a race at Sleeping Giant in March and possibly races at Red Lodge and Hogadon Basin. Antelope Butte usually hosts a race in March.
Coaching is available every Saturday (except during away races) from January 4th on, although skiers need not come every week.

4 (10am-Noon) Alpine Ski lessons designed to take you from zero to skiing!
We will introduce you to all things skiing - beginning with how to use the equipment and lifts and progressing to gliding, stopping, turning down a slope safely all while having FUN! Learn to ski over winter break so you can enjoy time with family and friends on the ski slope all winter long. Snack and water suggested.

Has it been a few years since you’ve skied? Do you feel stuck on beginner green runs and would like to feel more comfortable on intermediate blue runs? Would you like to find a ski buddy for the season? This is the class for you! We will assess the group goals and ski where EVERYONE is comfortable. Our focus will be on skiing techniques and tactics that will allow you to feel comfortable on the slopes while sharing the camaraderie of an all women's group. Bring a snack and water.

School PE Program 2024/25
We’re happy to announce that we’re FULLY BOOKED with this year’s school programs!
We expect to host up to 800 local and regional school kids on their first day on skis & boards this year!

Pre-Program Session: One 1-hour classroom session at the school; teacher will be provided with the PowerPoint presentation to cover with students;
Alpine Ski Day: One all-day session at ABMRA, students will participate in a lesson in the morning, take a lunch break (self-provided lunch), and should then have time to free ski in the afternoon;
Cost includes lesson and rental, and kids get a free season pass (online and in advance);
Chaperones should be prepared to play an active role in this all-day experience with the students;

Pre-program Session: One 1-hour classroom session at the school, AB-contracted expert will give a presentation to help students feel more comfortable before coming up to the ski area;
Mountain Day: One all-day session at ABMRA; students will be given an avalanche safety presentation, and then will be divided into 2 groups. One group will go to a ski lesson, the other will go to avalanche and snow safety training. Students will then take a lunch break (self-provided) and the groups will switch activities for the afternoon.
